Information - Rates and Services

PARK INFORMATION:
The park area includes public boat ramps, swimming areas, rental cabins, picnic areas, shelters, RV parking, natural area walking trail, boat/RV storage area and community house.  The recreational park includes approx. 65 acres.  The park is managed by the Person-Caswell Lake Authority (PCLA). The mailing address is: P.O. Box 343, Roxboro, NC 27573.  Phone: (336)599-4343  The rangers are located in the ranger station located at the boat ramps.

REGISTRATION:
The Person-Caswell Lake Authority now has a reservation system.  When selecting a site, make sure the chosen site is unoccupied.  A Ranger will come by, issue you a camping permit, and answer any questions you may have.  The campground gate closes at 11:00 P.M. and opens at 7:00 A.M. Check out time is 2:00P.M.

RATES:
Our rates are based on a family or group of 4 adults and 2 children using one campsite.  Others in the group will be charged $4.00 per night.  Children 3 years old and younger are free. One trailer or two tents is allowed per site, two trailers will need two sites.
Primitive sites - $15/night  
30 Amp sites - $20/night  $400/month
50 Amp sites - $25/night  $525/month

Refunds for cabins are not given unless it is 30 days or longer for cancellation. 30 days or less only $65 deposit is refunded. Rental fee is not!

RULES:
The Person-Caswell Lake Authority is a family campground and the rules given are designated to protect all persons using the facility.

  • No glass containers
  • No alcoholic beverages greater than 6% alcohol
  • No deadly or concealed weapons
  • No abusive or vulgar language tolerated
  • Children under 12 must remain under adult supervision

DAY GUEST:
Day guest must pay the gate fee of $5.00 to enter the park or may purchase a yearly pass for $50. If guests should decide to camp or stay overnight with the existing camper, consult the ranger.

PETS:
Dogs, cats and other pets are allowed only if leashed at all times and never left unattended. It is the responsibility of the owners to clean up after their pets. All bathhouses and swim areas are off limits for pets. No pets are allowed inside or outside the cabin area, regardless of being free to run, caged, or on a leash.

SWIMMING:
Swimming is available to campers at their own risk in the designated swimming area. No swimming is allowed after dark. Swim area closes at sunset.

PICNIC and BILL BARKER COMMUNITY BUILDING:
Picnic shelters are available be reservation only for family groups or reunions. Shelters are $25.00 a day with a $25.00 deposit and all guests with the exception of the shelter renter must pay $5.00 gate fee.

Community building available for rent throughout the year.  Rates are $150 from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. and $150 from 4 P.M. to 11 P.M..  All day rental is $275 - a security deposit is required and returned within 10 days or rental if there is no damage.  Clean-up is available for $40. Great for weddings, receptions, retreats, reunions, parties and meetings.  Capacity 120 with tables and chairs available.  Gas logs, color TV, 12x60' deck, grills, restrooms, full kitchen and large ballroom included.

CABINS:
Cabins are available for rent near the bathhouse and swim area.  The cabins rent for $65/night.  A security fee of $65 is required. Check in/out times are: 12:00/11:00.  The cabins have heat, air conditioning, refrigerator, and TV with cable.  No running water or bath facilities are available in the cabins.  The cabins can sleep up to 6 people with most having a full size bed and two bunk beds. No pets are allowed inside or outside the cabin area, regardless of being free to run, caged, or on a leash. Call the park ranger for more information at: (336) 599-4343

NATURE TRAIL:
The nature trail is located adjacent to the parking area for boat trailers.  The nature trails are paved and have posted signs in natural learning areas.  The trails can be entered at the entry of the park off Kelly Brewer Road on the immediate left.  See the marked entry hut.

AMPHITHEATRE:
The amphitheatre is available for rent for any production or event.  The Annual Flem Whitt Beach Music Festival is a large event that draws people from several counties each September.  Contact the Ranger for rental information.

STORAGE:
Storage for your boat or camper is available on site.  Please ask the ranger for information.  The storage area is near the boat launch area.

QUIET TIME:
Quiet time is from the hours of 10:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M.

PARENTS:
The actions and safety of your children are always your responsibility.

CONSERVATION:
Knowledgeable campers never chop or drive nails into trees.  Please preserve our campsites and keep clean

SUPPLIES:
Hyco Lake Marina is located within walking distance of the campground and carries a complete supply of camping and food supplies. Warm Waters Restaurant is also open Tuesday-Sunday.

LAKE PERMIT:
Daily or yearly lake permits are required to launch your boat. The daily permit is $15 and $50 for a yearly permit.  The permits are issued at the Ranger's station. Any water craft located below the 420' contour line after June 1st will need to have a annual permit.  Failure to have a permit will result in a ticket.

ANNUAL LAKESHORE LEASE FEES:
Shoreline lease fees as of 7/1/09 are: $75 for first 100' and .05 for each additional foot over 100'.

FISHING:
Fishing is allowed with valid N.C. Fishing license.  As of 1/1/09, no fishing will be allowed in the marked "no-wake" zones.
